Keep in mind that the yellow light means that there is a problem with the system’s motherboard and success is not guaranteed.
The most common cause of the yellow light is bad solder connection between the board and some of the chips on it. In order to fix ps3 yellow light blinking you simply need to get the solders to reapply themselves to their prospective chips. The most common method to do this is to heat them up enough so that they return to a pliable state. When they are in this state, cracks or breaks will disappear and they can be left to cool and reset themselves properly.

You do not want to make it so hot that it starts to melt the plastic casing of the unit. You only want to heat it to make the internal connections pliable again and then let it cool down. After you’re done heating it, sit it in an area with plenty of airflow such as under a fan or air conditioning vent.
After the unit is cooled down to room temperature, hook all of the cables and connections back up and see if you’re work succeeded. Remember that this isn’t a surefire way to fix ps3 yellow light blinking but it’s not harmful to try. If you feel that you need to repeat the procedure, go ahead, but don’t bake the console at too high of a temperature.
Unfortunately, this is no magical method that can make the light disappear every time. If your unit is damaged you may simply have to get it replaced or repaired. While this may be annoying, as getting it repaired can cost around $150 dollars, it’s better than doing without.
If your work does succeed then you will be happily playing your games again. However, keep in mind that this type of repair work isn’t guaranteed. The quality of the solder is still poor and it is still prone to cracking. You may have to perform this operation again at a later date to maintain unit operation.
Personally, I do not recommend super heat method to fix ps3 yellow light blinking because the potential of damaging more to your PS3 is quite high especially for users who had no experience at all in these heating stuff. Though your ps3 is dead at the moment, it is not completely unrecoverable.
